DiGirolamo to Hold Committee Meeting on Impact of Policy Changes for Long-Term Living Office

WHAT: Rep. Gene DiGirolamo (R-Bucks), chairman of the House Human Services Committee, will host an informational meeting about the impact of policy changes on consumers and families receiving services through the Department of Public Welfare (DPW) and the Office of Long-Term Living.

WHO: DiGirolamo and members of the committee. Those expected to share their stories will include individuals with physical disabilities and provider agencies that are involved with the home- and community-based system of services and the impact of changes implemented by DPW and the Office of Long-Term Living. At the direction of Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS), Pennsylvania implemented changes in policy and payment; this has led to a very serious impact on the fiscal stability of the provider agencies as well as the safety of the individuals served.
