House Human Services Committee to Hold Hearing on Mental Health Issues
WHAT: The House Human Services Committee, chaired by Rep. Gene DiGirolamo (R-Bucks), will hold a public hearing on mental health issues, including the way in which mental health services are structured and funded.

WHO: DiGirolamo and members of the House Human Services Committee. Those expected to offer testimony will include a panel of advocates representing behavioral health and aging coalitions, psychiatric rehabilitation services, mental health consumers’ association, the mental health association, and the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill. Additionally, the following are expected to participate in the public hearing: Pennsylvania Psychological Association; chief of police from Indiana County; Pennsylvania Psychiatric Society; a county administrator for mental health and intellectual disability services; Pennsylvania Community Providers Association; and the Family Training and Advocacy Center.

WHEN: Tuesday, Sept. 11, 10:30 a.m. to noon.
