House Committee to Hold Hearing on Intellectual Disability Waiting List

WHAT:          The House Human Services Committee, led by Rep. Gene DiGirolamo (R-Bucks), will hold a public hearing on the intellectual disabilities waiting list for services.

WHO:            DiGirolamo; Rep. Thomas Murt (R-Philadelphia/Montgomery), chairman of the Subcommittee on Mental Health; Rep. Angel Cruz (D-Philadelphia), Democrat chairman; and members of the committee.

Four panel discussions will include residents and families from Pike, Lehigh, Dauphin, Huntingdon, Westmoreland, Bradford and Lycoming counties; along with executive directors of Vision for Equality. In addition to the four panels of testifiers, perspectives will be offered by both the Office of Developmental Programs in the PA Department of Public Welfare, and KenCrest Services, a provider of services.
