Committee to Consider Mental Health Treatment, Review of Waiver Program Bills
WHAT: The House Human Services Committee, led by Rep. Gene DiGirolamo (R-Bucks), will consider two pieces of legislation, House Bill 2212 and House Resolution 241 at its next scheduled meeting. House Bill 2212 would give the Department of Public Welfare the authority to issue guidelines and adopt rules regarding a minor’s right to consent to mental health treatment, while House Resolution 241 would direct the Legislative Budget and Finance Committee to review the state’s Medicaid Home and Community-Based Waiver Programs.

WHO: DiGirolamo and members of the House Human Services Committee, along with Rep. Pam Snyder (D-Fayette/Green/Washington), author of House Bill 2212, and Rep. Jim Cox (R-Berks), who is the sponsor of House Resolution 241.

WHEN: Wednesday, June 18, with the time of the meeting to be called by the chairman from the House floor.
